Irvine & Dreghorn Brass will be among the entertainment line-up in a concert to acknowledge frontline workers, community volunteers and those people who contribute to the betterment of people’s lives, especially during the pandemic.

Brass in the Valley is being put on by the Barrmill Jolly Beggars Burns Club. The event will be free to attend but donations at the door will benefit the Garnock Valley Disability Forum.

The concert will take place on Sunday 3 October on the Geilsland Estate, Gateside Road, Beith KA15 1HE at 2pm.

“Controlled parking and COVID-19 precautions will be in place,” explained Councillor Donald L Reid, secretary and honorary president of the Barrmill Jolly Beggars Burns Club. “For anyone who is unable to make this date, there is an opportunity to attend a similar concert featuring Dalmellington Band on Sunday 31 October at the same time and venue.”

He added: “It is important that those intending to come along let me know in advance for seating purposes and refreshments at the break. My contact details are 07976 654833 and donaldleesreid@hotmail.com.”
