the cooperation band stages open youth solo contest

A youth solo contest – open to all young people of all musical abilities in Scotland – is being staged by the cooperation band.

The event is being split into four categories, based on current performance grades:

Beginner: Grades 1 – 2
Junior: Grades 3 – 4
Intermediate: Grades 5 – 6
Advanced: Grades 7 – 8+

Closing date for registration is 31 May and the deadline for sending in recorded entries is 21 June. A non-refundable entry fee of £5 is payable before the closing date and competitors will then be sent an online recorded submission form via email.

For an additional £10.00 entrants can purchase one subsidised 30-minute online lesson with a principal player of the cooperation band to aid their preparations. All lessons must be purchased ahead of the 31 May registration deadline.
