Advent Calendar of Carols: Kinneil Band – The Shining Star

The final performance in our Advent Calendar comes from the winners of the West of Scotland online entertainment contest earlier this year.

Kinneil Band has been playing audio tracks of carols and Christmas tunes on its Facebook page for the past couple of weeks.

Here is the band’s first seasonal video recording, a performance Peter Graham’s upbeat Yuletide march, The Shining Star, which brings to an end our run of Advent Calendar of Carols for 2020.

• Since 1 December our Advent Calendar has featured videos from youth ensembles to championship bands, a quartet, duets and solos. Roll on a much better 2021 and a speedy return to what we all love doing best – making live music with our friends and fellow brass players!
