Music of Michael Bennett released on CD

The first CD of Scottish trumpet player, music teacher, composer and arranger Michael Bennett has been released by Just Music.

Entitled The Music of Michael Bennett – Volume 1, the CD, recorded at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, features the Michael Bennett Brass, conducted by Nigel Boddice MBE, and also two unaccompanied original composition solos in Fantasy for Tuba, played by conductor/adjudicator Craig Anderson, and Soliloquy for Piper Alpha, by Michael himself.

Aberdeen-born Michael studied trumpet at the Royal Northern College of Music. He has performed and toured with all of Scotland's orchestras and has appeared at the Edinburgh International Festival and the BBC Proms.
