Bathgate steps up to fundraising challenge

As members of Bathgate Band have been unable to play together during the Coronavirus pandemic, they have been taking part in weekly individual and team step challenges since August.

Now, throughout October, they’ve taken their exercise regime one step further by signing up for Radio Forth’s Boogie in the Morning’s ‘5k a Day’ initiative to raise money for the Cash for Kids charity.

Twelve members of the band have joined in the fitness challenge and have already completed over 1020 kilometres – at least seven of them are on target to achieve the 5k every day by 31 October.

All funds raised will be used to help children that need it most across Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and Falkirk.
