Playing on a sunny afternoon...

Sunday 19 July 2020

As the rules governing social gatherings are relaxed, members of Kilmarnock Concert Brass took advantage of a sunny afternoon to get together in the garden of trombonist Lesley Herd for some sensibly distanced hymn tune playing.

Although they have been keeping in touch regularly via Zoom, this was the first time the KCB musicians had actually been face to face with each other since their runner-up performance of Neverland at the Scottish championships in March.

“Our first socially distanced rehearsal was fun,” commented Lesley. “It was lovely to see everyone who turned up and get a wee play in the sunshine.

“We should have other music to play at our next open-air rehearsal as I have now managed to fix my printer!”
