Happy ever after – by Zoom!

Forfar Instrumental members Danielle Campbell and Mark Buchanan couldn’t wait until the end of lockdown to get married so they went ahead with the ceremony with only the minister in attendance while the rest of the guests looked in on Zoom.

Sadly, as originally planned, the whole band weren’t able to play them down the aisle. That is having to wait until the Coronavirus restrictions have been wholly lifted when the happy couple are hoping to have a marriage blessing and a large celebration for friends and family.

Eb bass player Danielle has been with the band for two years and front row cornet Mark joined four years ago.

“The band wishes them both our very best congratulations,” said secretary Tori Chamberlain. “We are all delighted for them!

“It’s lovely that our band has had seven lots of families playing together and now Danni and Mark make that eight!”
