Keeping busy banding is a virtual reality

Saturday 6 June 2020

The Mactaggart Scott Loanhead banding family have been keeping themselves busy during the current Coronavirus pandemic – and they certainly haven’t let the lockdown put a brake on their latest activities.

The senior band recorded the march True and Trusty to take part in the virtual Whit Friday contest which was organised online last Friday evening while the players in Loanhead Brass Roots have performed two pieces which were released on their Facebook page.

The younger Rootlets (above) were put through their paces with Alan Fernie’s Cheesy Feet Rock, and the composer also conducted the older Roots and Youth players (below) in a sterling rendition of Eye of the Tiger.
