Let's stay connected!

Saturday 28 March 2020

As our period of isolation continues, we at SBBA hope our banding family stays safe and well.

It’s clear we won’t be able to come together for the foreseeable future, so let’s try to connect using our website and social media platforms in celebration of all that has been achieved over the past 125 years.

But to do this, we need your help!

Firstly, we would like to challenge players and their families to get back to basics and record a 30-second snippet of you playing from the Arban or similar tutorial. Either post this on Twitter or on the SBBA Facebook page.

Secondly, we would like to feature one of our member bands each day on the SBBA website. We will be launching this project on 1st April. Please send us a maximum of two photos (current or historical) and no more than 150 words telling us when you were founded, your greatest musical achievements – contests, concerts and other public appearances – and how members are coping with the current situation etc.

Tell us where/when you normally rehearse, plus sending any message you wish to share with our banding community at this time is also most welcome.

Please submit your stories and pictures to sbbapr@gmail.com

We hope you all stay strong and remain positive during this challenging time.
