SBBA appoints new press and publicity officer

The Scottish Brass Band Association has appointed Charlotte MacKay as it's new press and publicity officer.
Charlotte is a journalist currently working and training at a series of local newspapers in south-west Scotland. She started learning to play the cornet at age 10 and has been a member of Annan Town Band for the last eleven years.
In her new role Charlotte will be working to promote the initiatives taking place within SBBA as well as writing about news and events taking place across the Scottish brass band movement.
Speaking about her appointment, Charlotte said: "I'm absolutely delighted to be able to use the skills I am gaining as a journalist and combine them with my passion for brass banding.
"I've been involved with brass bands for as long as I can remember and they have provided me with so many fantastic opportunities. I'm really looking forward to promoting the work that is going on within our movement and sharing it with a wider audience."
