Coalburn all set for 'Brass at Blantyre'

Wednesday 12 September 2018

Coalburn Silver Band will be in Blantyre this coming Friday, 14 September, for its ‘Brass at Blantyre’ concert.

Under the baton of Musical Director Gareth Bowman, Coalburn will be joined by some very special guests.

The concert will give the audience a chance to see and hear the band’s recent entertainment-winning performance ‘Coalburn at the Oscars’ and, as the title suggests, the South Lanarkshire outfit will be performing music from the movies with some innovative and comedic twists!

Coalburn is also delighted to welcome the youngsters from its Intermediate Band, which, under conductor David Fehilly, have prepared a fabulously fun and engaging programme. Band President Alan Court commented: “The band is really looking forward to a return to the Livingstone Memorial Parish Church and has a brilliant programme of music. We are especially delighted to welcome our guest vocalist Joanne Crossan and our Intermediate Band. Please come along and support the church and band as a fantastic night of entertainment is guaranteed.”

Entry can be paid on the night with doors opening at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start at the Livingstone Memorial Parish Church, Glasgow Road, Blantyre G72 9DB.
