New appointment for NYBBS Children's Band

The SBBA would like to announce the appointment of Alan Fernie to be the new conductor of the NYBBS Children’s Band for 2019.

Alan takes over from Gordon Evans MBE. Gordon’s association with NYBBS started in 1985 with the training band. He later moved on to tutor the senior band. Gordon was the founder of the National Children’s Band of Scotland, a project very close to his heart.
