Calling all trombone players!!Friday 1 June 2018
Trombone players from across Scotland are invited to be part of the trombone orchestra ‘Beautiful Bones’, a new street theatre and music spectacle to be performed in Glasgow this coming August.
The event will feature internationally renowned trombonist John Kenny performing with his Pandora's Box ensemble, alongside the Aeris Brass Quartet and London Metropolitan Brass.
Beautiful Bones is directed by Alan Richardson from ‘Surge’, Scotland’s circus and street theatre development agency, designed by inspirational artist, maker and performer Alex Rigg, with original music created by award winning composer Stephen Deazley.
The music draws inspiration from ‘Mardi Gras’ and Mexico's ‘Day of the Dead’ festivals. It is written in parts to accommodate different levels of skill and experience and is suitable for players from grade 4 to professional standard and for those over the age of 14. The performances will take place outdoors. These are not paid positions.
