Passing of a faithfull servant to Croy Band

It is with deepest regret that the band has to announce the sad passing of John McAtee. John was a lifetime member of the band. He served the band both as a player and committee member for many years. He worked tirelessly on behalf of the band and was the Band President for 40 years. John passed away peacefully on Saturday 10th March 2018 in Strathcarron Hospice whilst surrounded by his family. He was a true bandsman, gent and friend. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with Marge, Andy, Catherine and his family.

John’s body will be received into St Patrick’s Church, Kilsyth at 6pm on Friday 16th March. The funeral mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church at 9.30am on Saturday 17th March followed by his interment in Kilsyth Cemetery.
