1. |
The committee shall arrange to hold a contest for each of the sections annually for the purposes of deciding the Champions in the respective sections and qualifiers for the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.
2. |
The Scottish Championships will be run in conjunction with the Rules of the Besson National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain ("the National Rules"), with the exception of the Grading Rules contained in the National Rules which will not apply in Scotland and subject to the directions of the Committee in any situation where the National Rules may conflict with these rules or where the National Rules may not specifically cover a matter which is dealt with in these rules.
3. |
It shall be the duty of the committee at their first meeting following these contests to classify all bands to the sections they consider them best suited for in accordance with the Grading Rules as detailed in Appendix II, which rules are deemed to form part of these rules. All changes in grading will take effect from the first day of November each year. |
