Contest Rules for Solo, Quartet/Quintet and Small Ensemble Contests

Substitute Players
  If a player is unable to compete as part of a quartet or quintet or small ensemble due to personal illness or injury or other personal mitigating circumstances, a substitute player will be permitted on production of the appropriate documentary evidence (e.g. a medical certificate) but such substitute player must be from the same band or school.
