SCOTTISH BRASS BAND ASSOCIATION
CONTEST RULES

Version effective from 1 January 2005

Definitions

1.		In these Rules the expressions listed shall have the following meanings and where the context so requires the masculine shall include the feminine and the singular shall include the plural.
2.		‘Association’ means the Scottish Brass Band Association.
3.		‘Committee’ means the Executive Committee of the Scottish Brass Band Association.
4.		‘Organisation’ means any Band, Affiliated Association or other Affiliated Group presenting contests in Scotland.
5.		‘Contest’ means Full Band, Solo, Duet, Trio, Quartet or other combinations of brass instruments.
6.		‘Player’ means a male or female competing member of a contesting band.
