Kinneil ComPlete Their Journey Home

Unison Kinneil are proud to announce the availability of their very first CD. Entitled "JOURNEY HOME" it has been released to help round off the bands 150th Anniversary year, and a book covering the bands entire history will follow soon.

Produced to an exceptional standard the CD features arrangements by the bands two MD's Paul Drury and Andrew Duncan and also includes a brand new 3 movement commission by Paul entitled "A Borrowstounness Odyssey" which encompasses the historical background of Bo'ness namely Shipping, Coalmining and the world famous Fair Day !

There are solo works from Keith Johnstone the bands principal cornet and Dave Frame on bass trombone, but perhaps the most interesting inclusion is the first ever recording of Andrew Duncan's "The Water Is Wide" in it's original form, a vocal arrangement arranged for Kinneil for use at the West Lothian Challenge a few years ago. As on that occasion it’s sung beautifully by Glasgow based Soprano Aileen Marley.

The CD priced £12, excl postage and packaging is available now, not only from players, but from various outlets in the Bo’ness and Linlithgow area and will soon be officially launched on the Web. Details, including a downloadable order form, will be released on Kinneil’s own website soon.
