Fife brass band festival results

There was an encouraging turnout of 25 bands for the Fife Brass Band Festival at Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline on 19th April. Kingdom Brass maintained the form which saw them take third place at the Scottish Championships with a win in the Championship section. The Clackmannan juggernaut rolled on under Paul Kiernans direction to take the 1st section prize ahead of Lochgelly. Johnstone Silver lived up to their favourites tag with victory in the 2nd section whilst Coalburn Silver avenged their Scottish Championship result with a fine win in the 3rd section. In the 4th section, Brass Sounds Inverclyde took a narrow victory from Queensferry Community Brass.
