Lochgelly Slow Melody Contest

The Lochgelly Band are holding their sixth annual slow melody contest on Sunday 27th April. This years contest will be held in the 385 Social Club in Lochgelly and will be adjudicated by James Chamberlain.

 

As in previous years there will be a junior section for players aged under 17* and a senior section which is open to all players. The winner of the junior section will be awarded the Bill Shaw Solo Trophy and a prize of £25. The Open contest winner will be awarded the Bill Shaw Memorial Trophy and a prize of £50.


Entry fees for the contest are £3 for juniors and £6 for the open contest. All interested parties are requested to email solocontest@lochgellyband.com to register their interest and request an entry form. The entry form can also be downloaded from the bands website at http://www.lochgellyband.com/solo_contest_entry.pdf. The c
losing date for entries is 20th April. Entries will be processed strictly on a first come first served basis and the band reserves the right to limit entries if there is a large response.
