The Bo’ness & Carriden and Unison Kinneil Bands are both celebrating their 150th Anniversary this year. As part of the celebrations both bands intend running a joint slow melody contest, to be held on Sunday 15th June in the Lesser Hall, Bo’ness Recreation Centre, Gauze Road, Bo’ness
The contest will encompass a junior section for players aged 17years and under and a senior contest which will be open to anyone. Entries for the contest will be limited to 25 in each section. Entry fees for the sections will be £3 for juniors and £6 for seniors. Both sections will award prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. The Junior contest will also award prizes for the best soloist under 12 years old and the best soloist under 15 years old.
