One of the top Tuba Players in the world will be holding a "brass workshop" in Dalmellington Band Hall on Sunday 30th March from 10am until 2pm
Dalmellington Band, in conjunction with the West of Scotland Brass Band Association, are delighted to host a FREE of CHARGE Brass Workshop, with the superb Tuba Soloist - Les Neish, in the Dalmellington Band Hall on Sunday 30th March from 10am until 2pm.
Les will be delighted to work with young players and adults of all ages, giving advice on playing techniques and styles etc. and will be showing best practice methods throughout the workshop.
Les, the Principal Tuba Soloist with the famous Fodens Band in England is recognised as a brilliant exponent of World Class Tuba Playing and he is keen to encourage all young players to take up brass playing, from cornets to tubas.
Players of all brass instruments are welcome to come and listen or join in the fun!
Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
Les will also be appearing as Guest Soloist at the Dalmellington Band Senior Slow Melody Event on Saturday 29th March in Dalmellington Community Centre at 3.30pm and tickets are still available from Bert Ritchie on 01292-550250, priced at just £11.00, which includes the solo competition, a 3 course meal and the evening concert, featuring Les Neish as our guest soloist.
