Newland Concert Brass present cheque for Cancer Research

Bathgate based brass band Newland Concert Brass organised a concert for Cancer Research UK last month. "At the Movies" was enjoyed by the people of West Lothian in the Regal Community Theatre in Bathgate. Newland Senior and Junior band were delighted to raise the sum of £1384 for Cancer Research UK. They performed film music under the baton of their conductors Grant Golding and Mark Good and included a range of pieces from Rocky and Pirates of the Caribbean to Jurassic Park and Mamma Mia.

Some band members are pictured presenting the cheque to the Area Volunteer Manager for Cancer Research UK, Richard Cowie. Also pictured is 10 year old tenor horn player Anna Kelly who was presented with the Most Progressed Player Award for Newland Junior Band.
