Details announced ahead of 17th Borders Entertainment Contest

The Scottish Borders Brass Band Association (SBBBA) has announced that the 17th Borders Entertainment Contest will be held in Jedburgh Town Hall on Saturday 4 November 2017 and will be open to bands from the 2nd to 4th Sections.

SBBBA has also announced that the contest will be adjudicated by Raymond Tennant and Les Neish.

Invitations to this year’s event will be sent out by Contest Secretary Christine Calvert at the beginning of June and all bands are asked to get their entries in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The contest will be capped at 20 bands.

Speaking ahead of the event, Christine Calvert commented: “We look forward to welcoming all our band friends to Jedburgh on 4 November for what we hope will be another fabulous day of music-making.”
