Gorbals looking for project trainee

Gorbals Youth Band provides a secure learning environment for children to explore their creativity.

 

THE Gorbals Youth Brass Band is on the lookout for someone to help its young members continue exploring their creativity.

A project trainee is sought to assist with students' tuition and administration of the programme. Responsibilities will include design and implementation of creative and interactive lesson plans, undertaking pastoral duties and accompanying students on external trips.

Situated in an area of multiple and social deprivation, Gorbals Youth Brass Band provides a secure learning environment for children to be creative via high quality instrumental lessons and band rehearsals.

The post will run from February until December 2017, including 12 sessions at £20 per session. Applicants must have or be studying for a degree in a related field and be a grade eight or equivalent brass musician. The role requires membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
