BRASS band players and supporters are being encouraged to look out their clubs after plans were announced for the 2016 Scottish Brass Band Golf Championships.

The event, which raises funds for the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland (NYBBS), will take place on Sunday, June 19 at Murrayshall Golf Course, Perth, and is open to individuals, pairs or teams of four.

Nigel Durno, event organiser, said: “Plans are well underway for the 2016 Scottish Brass Band Golf Championships as we look to build on the success of last year.

“The event is great fun, terrific exercise and it raises funds for the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland in the process, so I would encourage everyone to get involved and join us for what promises to be a wonderful day.”

Participants meet up at noon for coffee and bacon rolls before teeing off at 1pm.

After their round on the course, golfers enjoy a meal and prize giving at the clubhouse.

Entry costs £45 per person. Anyone looking to get involved should contact Nigel Durno as soon as possibly by emailing: nigel@justmusicuk.com.
